I can't believe that many thought this would ever be a high selling release. It has great appeal to those of us with an interest in submarines and warfare of this era. Otherwise your casual PC gamer ,as I see it, would not bother with it. Too many other "arcady" offerings out there. What we see as a routine patrol, with days between sightings, most would describe as boring as watching grass grow.
The number 30,000 itself
is a rather interesting figure and my Tibetian friend would have no difficulty explaning it. He would observe that 30,000 U-Boatmen lost their lives in the service and that number meshes most neatly with all us reincarnated submariners who bought SHIII.
