I don't believe that...and you'll never convince me otherwise. Let's see...they don't have to pay manufacturing costs for the box/printed paper/cds, they don't pay shipping costs, they don't pay distribution costs and on top of that, there is no "in the bargain bin it goes" loss for non-sold products.

And you really expect us to believe hosting this game on an on-demand server has the same costs? Please...

Now, if the producer of said games up the price when they give steam the rights to sell the game...is another matter. I doubt it though. Notice how many games are sold on Steam...a handful. Makes you wonder why...

...oh and...if what you say is true, how come I can buy Half Life 2 BOXED for half the price on Steam?
