so, there i was...on the east side of the East China Sea, early May, 1944, when a nice convoy comes sailing right up to my position. {smacking my lips}.
i make a nice approach and shoot 1,2,3,4. all hits. there is one left...a tanker. and i violate one of my cardinal rules: always, always, always leave one ship in the convoy to give the escorts something to follow and protect. well, greedy me, i went and sank the last ship. so the six escorts had nothing better to do than assault me and valiant crew. six to one. not very sporting. after 6+ hours this is what the tactical map looked like.

except it wasn't that easy. six hours and god-knows-how-many fish. maybe 8 or 9. but i got 'em all. had to. they wouldn't go away.
it's a good thing that MY navy allows the crew a ration of medicine after an ordeal such as this.
