POTUS being forced by Nancy Pelosi to reduce the size of the federal government is like a fiscal conservative's wet dream come true!

He should cancel the Super Bowl for security reasons amid the shutdown as well!
POTUS should also add that "if" he does fill those positions again he will be looking toward the military and veterans as the first source of new hires.
