It was produced by Jack Webb, star of
Dragnet. It was kind of dry and flat, like
Dragnet, but with patrol cops rather than detectives.
One interesting fact everybody seems to miss is that, while their car number was indeed 1-Adam-12, the title of the show was just "
Adam-12".
