PRIOR TO ITS TRANSFER TO FLORIDA IT WAS BERTHED AT MARE ISLAND VALLEJO CA TO HAVE THOROUGH CLEAN-UP TO PREVENT TOXIC SUBSTANCES FROM ENTERING THE GULF MARINE ECOLOGY. I USED TO SEE IT AS I BOARDED THE VALLEJO FERRY DAILY TO/FRO COMMUTE TO SAN FRANCISCO. SHE WAS IN THE ROBIN WILLIAMS FILM: 'WHAT DREAMS MAY COME'. PART OF THE 1997 FILM'S 'HELL SEQUENCE' WAS FILMED ABOARD THE DECREPIT HULL AT MARE ISLAND.
