Not all of those 50 million "did" it. Many data were collected illegally by harvesting not just active members of Facebook and their data, but their friends' data and likes as well. Not many people seem to know that facebook already collected data about you when you even just anonymously visit their sites and watch a video for example, most people think they are save if they do not hold an active membership. At least some years ago, this still was wrong - even anonymous visitors got spied on and got profiled.

The business model of Facebook bases on financing itself by profiling users and selling these profile data. What is done with these data, so argues Facebook, is not their responsibility. Idisagree, obviously. I put this business model up for prohibition.

And why people do not care to protect themselves better by resisting the invitation to get themselves naked in socalled social media, is beyond my imagination. I can only attribute this carelessness to a lack of imaginationb for how badly these data and be used against them if it finds the wrogn hands, or cna be used to support the suprrerssing of free speech and help one day in assisting the establishing of an open tyranny, a dicatorship that supresses diverging opinions and persecutes their holders. Also, these data treasuries spill enormous power and influence into the hands of the very few.

Many people just cannot magine how bad things can become in a tyrannic state env ironment, since they had sugar and cinnamon blown into their sucking mouths for all their lives and take it for granted that life will always kiss their precious baby butt okay. But all thes ecomouter development sof today are tools of accumulatring power. And this power potential will get corrupted, will get used, will be abused. And then everyone being sorry will see that he is too late with his regret.

History shows it. We have had it, we have been there, its nothing new at all. Mark my words. The liberal freedom of the Western culture in past decades, already is a thing of the past now. Its in open decline.
