Tested now for a while, works perfectly against approaching planes or any kind of new ships:

Activate "Disable TCx on message box messages" then TC will return to 1 if a new enemy is visible/sighted (by the watch crew) or also recognized by Benno (Sound Guy) in any kind of a new ship while submerged.
