Looking at your model plane collection brings the thought to mind that almost all planes are built to be obsolete, except for the B-52 that just keeps on serving the USAF with the first flight being 15 April 1952 and of course the Tupolev Tu-95 with the first flight being 12 November 1952

(Few would have believed it would still be on the front-line nearly 60 years later, serving as a strategic bomber, maritime patrol aircraft – and the world’s noisiest spy plane.)
Anyway back to your beautiful collection, a collection you can surely be proud of ... but still a thought is a thought and I had to add mine that almost all planes are built to become obsolete.
