While some folks would say recent passings aren't as "big" as the Big Bopper and Richie Valens and Buddy Holly dying, but for me, it does bring a similar feeling to my musical world, and does remind me of Don McLean's take on things, and I've found me what seems a rather unusual rendition of the same song I posted in Eichhörnchen's thread:
