Just after midnight, Soviet forces attack to the island of Someri, 40km northeast from Suursaari. The enemy manages to land on the eastern end of the island while attempts in other directions are repulsed. After receiving reinforcements just after noon, Finns attack the dug in enemy. The island is cleared by the next day. 128 enemy bodies are found after the battle, 143 have surrendered.
