Example, after October 1944 convoys hug close to the coast of indochina and china. Interesting way it was designed.

What year, month, area did you patrol? Are you out of

I believe there is a map in the RSRD documentation file tha comes with the mod.I would go to the mission editor open up campaigns and will see a file such as Japconvoy44A etc, open them up and will see the shipping lanes, give you an idea where to be.

Hello Bubblehead1980,

thank You for the quick answer.

The RSRDC mod comes only with text readmes.

However, there is a map with Japanese shipping lines selected, when You click on the radio icon in Your submarine (i don't know if this feature is also present in stock SH4, since i am using mods like TMO 2.5).

I started my RSRDC career in June 1942 after the Midway battle, being based at first on Pearl Harbor, later transferred to Midway.

Since then, i sailed to many areas and i found most of enemy ships along coast and straits of Borneo, Western New Guinea, Philippines and East China Sea. Few ships were located inside harbors, but shallow waters stopped me from attacking them. I also found few ships along the SE Japanese coast. Sometimes the bad weather discouraged me to engage enemy merchant ships.

Currently i am in June 1943 of my RSRDC career.

I received few orders from HQ to patrol areas where i didn't find any ships at all, despite my fruitless efforts to sail close to coast and through narrow straits...

Would be helpfull, to receive some info by radio from other US submarines where to find enemy merchant ships or even join them in a convoy attack - that would be a nice idea for a mod if You ask me .

So far, i didn't encounter any Japanese convoys in my RSRDC career. I suspect, that Japanese organised convoys in different ways, than the Allied did in the Atlantic.
