Played around with the Pre Pearl Harbor start tonight, wanting to start a bit earlier so player can get into position to encounter early invasion forces in RSRD such as those invading Malaya, intercept guam invasion force etc. Take full advantage of the traffic in RSRD.

Idea struck me of perhaps starting earlier in November 41 and have a "peacetime patrol"., which could play out many ways. Would be interesting to be off the coast of Japan observing when war starts . Notice convoys and task forces leave in days ahead.


To keep things interesting, could create a "second nation" for Japan and have some ships sailing around that will open fire, while most will not before. Incidents did happen in peace time between Japan and US, Germany US etc after all.

Guess would require scripting some pre Dec 1941 traffic. ahhh
