This is kind of the bare essentials, ok that being said, it still takes anywhere from 10 - 20 minutes to load a game save. My experience is if you have an extensive mod list your load times can be
big !!

I also run the 4GB patch, and SH3 is launched through SH3Commander via SH3F.
As you can see, there is no diffinitive answer to shorter load times, I might add I have also tried RAID setups, these did not help either.
So that is the best I can offer, I hope it helps, if not, it may help you decide where and where not to spend your hard earned
