It's quite easy getting in. There's about 5 warships patrolling the entrance, but no warships inside the actual harbour. There's obviously aircraft during the day though. Also it was a pretty long journey submerged, so I would have to have surfaced inside the harbour to refresh air and batteries.
I see you were surfaced at night, so it must be reasonably safe. Before I died from aircraft I was taking fire from merchant ships. So I guess you'd have to surface somewhere they couldn't see you. It's certainly a trickier place than somewhere like Freetown.
When I reload I'm just going to stick to my patrol grid. It was nice seeing New York but there weren't enough targets to justify going in again. I'm sure my crew will appreciate it  |
