I'd say the "cuckoo stories" are still very much simply war rumors. Not a good place to be (top of a tree), if you intend to fire your weapon and thus draw attention to yourself.
Oh, and rest in peace President Koivisto, who died last night at the age of 93. Fought in the Winter War and served as a LRRP soldier under Lauri Törni (Larry Thorne for you 'Muricans) in the Continuation War.
