TMO uses different "definitions" for some of the ships, and adds some more to the roster, when compared with stock. The SH games demand precision in that regard, so if you're encountering a DD in Stock, it's Type # would probably be 4. In TMO, it might be 3. That there alone will CTD a game when you come in "contact" with them, with either a "Radar contact!" or "Sonar Contact!" or "Ship spotted!" report... The ReadMe file of most mods tell what they are compatible with. If not, de-activate TMO for a minute and activate the Skipjack, and see what happens...
