Hi I'm new to SH5 too and tried to catch the polish Taskforce yesterday.
well.. it's 2 destroyers so no easy task.. luckily they go slow when patrolling.
too bad the Luftwaffe attacks them permanently and killed one of them which means they go full speed... full speed away from my boat.
I managed to get into torpedo range once(long range shot about 5km).. but torpedo was spotted and evaded.
destroyer doesn't even bother to try to find me.. it's running away and I'll guess I have to spend some hours again to get into firing range.
report contact does not work either.
last time I tried this campaign (but missions did not show up on briefing screen so started over) the mission was successful after a German dd from the close by German Taskforce rushed in and killed em both.
