Hi usb
The easiest way to explain to get a result is to use the 90 degree fast shoot where you only need 3 essentials.
The targets speed.
Torpedo speed.
Correct gyro angles.
You do not need to identify or lock the target at any time.
Drawing a line from the target past your boat gives you his course.
You take up a position using the protractor so you are at an angle of 90 degrees at about 1000 metres to his course line.
With the periscope at 0 degrees you have a AOB of 90 degrees.
You cannot shoot at that angle because by the time your torpedo arrives the target will have passed and you will miss.
Click the TDC button to go to manual input.
Put the periscope at 0 degrees.
Enter the targets speed.
Enter AOB 90 degrees at the Periscopes 0 bearing.
Check whether you need Port or Starboard.
You must enter a Range for example 1200 metres even though it is not important.
Click on the button to close the TDC and lock it.
You will notice that the AOB dial you set at 90 degrees will adjust as you move the periscope automatically.
Set your torpedo speed.
Reset your periscope bearing so that the 2 gyro angle dials are both pointing at 0 degrees.
You fire your torpedoes when the target passes through the periscopes vertical cross hair.
Set your torpedoes Depth and making sure the tube doors are open is very important.
That's it done.
Good luck.
