I think the info in question is found a bit further up in the file

[UnitClass]
ClassName=OTMST2
UnitType=101
AppearanceDate=19380101
DisappearanceDate=19451201
DisplayName=BR T2 Tanker

The info, AFAIK, under the [Unit x] headers is worthless and making major changes is probably wasteing your time. I don't think there is anything in the campaign that is actually keeping track of all the different units. Anonymous destroyers of a class are scripted to patrol an area for about a year at a time, then just dissappear. Or, destroyers are added randomly to convoys. Sure, a class won't appear after its DissappearanceDate or before it AppearanceDate. But there is nothing to say, remove a single Hunt I unit from the campaign on 8/19/1944 because HMS Berkeley has its DOD date then. All Hunt Is will be in place, and then dissappear all together on the DisappearanceDate.

BTW, I hope you are refering to add-on destroyer classes in some mod? Else I worry you are confusing classes. C class, as in the stock game, represnents early 1930s models (more or less A,B,C, and D) and the origional game dates are fine. The Ca class appeared in about 1942. These were single stackers that looked different altogether. But where did you get "O&P" class? Are you refering to "Sink Them All?"
