I do know about the sinking, as I live in Newfoundland.
In fact, there was a guy one of my Political Science classes in university who had dived on the Rose Castle last summer. The wreck of the ship (and of the other three sunk there - Saganaga, Lord Strathcona, and PLM 27) has been badly damaged by careless salvors who used explosives to remove anything of any value.
