I'm having some issues with engaging a merch ship in the atlantic.

Basically, my torpedoes reach the target but somehow they miss it completely, like they go below the keel.
It's weird, because in the tutorial missions my torpedoes hit with no issue.
Everything is set like normal, dept is below 2m and angle bow is set to 0 (since bearing is 0 too).
Am I doing something wrong?
Any advice? Ask if you need more info.

EDIT: minimum torpedo distance from target must be 300m for correct impact.
