Yes... in stock version (maybe some mods, I don't know for sure) boats that use Gato effects have a bug about that. try some quick missions with other boats , you'll probably see THEY work.
the fix:
In the "Downloads" menu under SH4\GamePlay Mods you will find "Gato
Sonar Bearing Fix_Stock"..... linked here: (
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=4099). It will put the mouse capture ability back onto the
Sonar Bearing Dial for those subs.
