Looks like you did something wrong?
'Null' can be an error message.
'Null' something selected that is not available!
'Null' can also lockup the game meaning having to use the Esc key.
So lets go through it.
You docked in Stralsund > yes?
You gave out your rewards > yes?
You picked up the telephone to transfer > yes?
Your transfer now has to be granted > why?
Because you have just finished your first test mission in the Eprobungstelle Flotilla.
Eprobungstelle is only used for testing purposes.
You have only 1 option where to transfer to at this point.
Flotilla 2
Tutorial Post #14 pictures 10 to 15 explains how to transfer.
When you dock at any future time you can transfer to a new Flotilla at any time, in theory every patrol.
In addition to Flotilla 2 this will include Flotilla 1 and Flotilla 7.
Transferring to different Flotilla's IIRC does not include any test missions.

Highly unlikely AFAIK there are only 2 additional compatible mods that I am aware of.
However there is only one way to find out!
