Well, in Denmark we learn both english and german in school - at least a couple of years. At least, that was when I was at school, and I don't believe it's changed.
I can understand most german, IF it's not some dialect, at least enough to know that the danish translation of Das Boot sucks!
Speaking it is a different matter
, but I can get along. Hey, if you can order 2 beers in a language, not everything is lost!
