Not having been on Silent Hunter 5 for a while i have done a re-format on my PC and had a new Graphics card as well but have been having trouble with SH5 CTD after a new install.

I did not back up my pevious saved games and lost them, so i have to start again, installed Microsoft Directx 9.0 and all seems ok.

Something i can't figure out was when SH5 checked to see if my PC was ok to run it every box was ticked except the Graphics Driver which said i did not meet the req for the game 168.81, my card is a Nvidia GTX 750 Ti and my drivers are up to date,

Yup! I'm getting the same message from just reloading (several times!) after three years plus a constant annoying 'low memory' occasional game interruption CTD and annoying big map omissions such as the cross for English Blockade (5 AMC's sunk have to find Carrier group) I switched to play offline to save memory interruptions and mingle missions to await the damn game righting itself which it seems to do. I'm stiil using WIN 7 unmodified but thinking Sober's mega-mod. Thank god for SHII, DC, and Aces of the Deep on my trusty alternate WIN 98 old beater-computer to get me through this travail.
