VERY loud! I lived almost three years on a sleeper-team eighteen- wheeler in a cabover Freightliner, with 290 Cummins diesel engine directly under the mattress(doubles as the insulation-sound barrier) in the '70's...you can easily sleep through anything! Engine on for heat in winter; AC in sweltering summer 24/7! It's wondering if your novice codriver can stay awake behind the wheel while you're napping that worries your lead-driver ass the most!!

On smooth 3 day coast-to-coast trek, it's 4hr on, 4hr in the bunk, carefully noted to keep the logsheets legit. Talk about 'hot-bunking' here!
