Using your latest 0.26 Beta fix, the binocular heading degree thingy is a lot better

Thanks Jeff Groves for providing the image.
Well the issue is still not right. The Binocular image should look like this:
This is with the game using a 1600x1200, 4:3 Aspect Ratio. Notice how the "background" image is smaller than your image (there's more binocular rim showing at the top and bottom). The Compass Bearing is where it should be....over the small vertical line at the top/center of the rim. I'm beginning to think this game was just not intended to be played on the hardware we use today. Wide screen flat panels replaced the 4:3 and 8:5 boxy CRT's which were the norm when the game was developed. I just don't think "all" possible resolutions will do as good a job rendering the game as some others....it just wasn't expected to.
There
is a way to push the Compass Bearing higher for those that don't have it positioned where it should.....but one fix won't work the same for another when there's so many different resolutions being used. If anyone wants to do it I can show you how. It will be up to you to play until your satisfied with the results.
Max, I
do see the Razzle Dazzle additions you've made in FOTRS v.25 Beta...all except for the Catapult ship?!? What a coincidence!! The very one I pick, is the one that stood behind the door when the changes were passed out. I should go and buy a lottery ticket.
