Cauldron run appears to have come off without a hitch--very smoothly. It was done with Nautilus file manager under Ubuntu 16.04 Linux. Title screen was modified by GIMP with .dds plugin. .7z file made by Gnome Archive Manager, which handles more file formats than even 7z.exe:
- 7z (.7z)
- ar (.ar)
- ARJ (.arj)
- gzip (.tar.gz , .tgz)
- bzip (.tar.bz , .tbz)
- bzip2 (.tar.bz2 , .tbz2)
- xz (.tar.xz)
- compress (.tar.Z , .taz)
- Portable Executable (.exe, .dll)
- lzip (.tar.lz , .tlz)
- LZO (.tar.lzo , .tzo)
- JAR archives (.jar , .ear , .war)
- LHA archives (.lzh)
- RAR archives (.rar)
- StuffIt archives (.bin, .sit)
- tar
- ZIP archives (.zip)
- Zoo archives (.zoo)
- Single files compressed with gzip, bzip, bzip2, compress, lzip, LZO, xz
- ISO images (.iso) (read-only)
- DEB (.deb) (read-only)
- RPM (.rpm) (read-only)
And of course text editing was done by gedit text editor, somewhat like notepad++ for Windows.
I only have one small issue, and that's any possible conflict between max-peck's Razzle Dazzle and CapnScurvy's Air_Ship_Sound_2. I loaded Air_Ship_Sound_2 last. Since until I get a larger disk drive for Linux I won't be able to run SH4, I'll need crastestdummies to ensure that Razzle Dazzle didn't get stepped on. If it did I leave it to max-peck and CapnScurvy to fix and that should be very easy.
We're crunching the .7zip right now and the new FOTRS Ultimate v0.3 Beta EN will be up in 20 minutes.
Since we have very important work by Jeff_Groves, s7rikeback and others going right now to correct deeply embedded but crucial errors in FOTRS, This is not a public Beta. However, on receiving those updates and any possible updates from CapnScurvy, and mission updates from cdrsubron7 and propbeanie, we'll post v0.4 Beta as a a public beta after team testing.
If everything goes well with that we'll release v1.0 production version as the full-grown FOTRS Ultimate Edition and jump right into our plugin packages!
Have fun everybody! This is what mod teams live for.
