OK, I got it to work. I think perhaps having the new start VII_B mod installed when the VII B is already the default boat in Happy Times may have caused the abort.

I was able to get the campaign date to reset using the MaMa fix 1 - manually setting the OSI priority to Real Time. The campaign did not terminate exactly on June 1, 1940, but about a day later it was detected.

When I tired MaMa fix 2, setting processor priority to background processes, this did not seem to kick off the next campaign.

I am now running in campaign Happy Times.
