The files you are looking for can be found in the various Crew Idle Actions .aix files in C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Scripts\AI\Crew\Crew_Idle_Actions_**.aix
These files are for linking characters, animation and sound so make sure you back up these files prior to tweaking anything.
I messed around with changing cloths on the crew one afternoon when it was a stinking hot summer here in the tropics and decided the crew needed shorts to wear.
You can download the file here and compare to the original to help you do your own tweaking.
