Did you actually read my response in the "Crew Fatique" thread? It addresses this concern of yours plus provides some other suggestions.
Put bluntly, all your problems are caused by one thing...the user. So, just relax, take your time, install one mod at a time AFTER READING THE README FILE and take it from there.
