I've had some requests for info on How I make the pens, and instead of re-inventing the wheel, I'll just link the tutorial I used to get started:

Someday I might write up my own, but for now, there are hundreds of more skilled craftsman out there on the net who have posted their own tutorials that put me to shame. For starters, just search "Pen turning" on YouTube.
