The UEFA Cup still running, French police have spoiled several terror attacks, there also were raids taking out terror cells in Belgium and Germany, related to the French event. Imagine these attacks to have targetted in Brazil.

But then, why even having the Olympics at Brazil, a place in utmost financial troubles? Those living at the lower end of the social ladder, once again got kicked and gotten rid of like garbage.

Then, the Olympic committee and FIFA are criminal organisation and gangster cartels in themselves. Why these monumental amounts of tax money get wasted on these big events, is beyond me.

If you think about it, even Western countries cannot afford these events. The promises regarding investments into infrastructure, before the event always reach into the heavens, but we know by now that the economic and financial bill in the end and years later, ALWAYS is negative. These events are always, always deficitary for the hosting country.
