Did it!
Couldnt figure out how to change the speed reported, so i entered menu editor and offset the position/anchor of that whole itemnotes box to appear offscreen.
While i was at it, i also got rid of those annoying tutorial buttons, and made the heading bar larger.
now.. if i could only put my beloved SH3 officers bar back in the game...
