I would love to see good online oriented naval game. I'm not talking about World of Warships (or whatever it is) type, but the whole atlantic where AI controlled convoys travel and it is up to the players to take their sides and either protect them or try to sink them.

Kinda like WWIIOL was/is, but naval version. Everything would count on the players, maybe add some small AI escorts etc., but mostly escort duty/interception would be done by players.

It wouldn't be a one "instance" type battles, but the whole Atlantic. Both sides would have high command (like in WWIIOL) who would decide which route the convoys would go and of course the German HQ would decide areas to patrol (these areas would be laaaarge, like 6x6 or 8x8 KM grids) where they expect the enemy convoys to be (but like in WWIIOL invidual players and squads could really go anywhere on the map). Players could form task forces (like tank columns in WWIIOL) to freely patrol the Atlantic etc. Heck, add in air patrols too!

Only problem, of course, would be the lack of players for such a large scale game and niche genre.
