CTRL+F11 is correct for all SH versions to take a screen shot.
Check your main game folder for images.
Irfanview is good for viewing images easy to use and it is free.
If you click on the Irfanview icon
Go to the Options tab
Capture/Screenshot shortcut is C
Browse your files to select where you want to copy to.
Select Start
Find what you want to copy.
CTRL+F11 saves the copy to the selected file.

Postimage is a free uploader that you can use to upload your pictures to Subsim, and again is easy to use.
Browse the file
Upload it
Click on the direct link
Use the Subsim insert image
Delete the showing http
Paste
http://postimage.org/
If you have Microsoft Office then you can crop and resize the Irfanview picture quite easily.
