Go to C:\documents can you see the V15 folder?
Make sure your SH3.exe is set to run as administrator permanently from Properties.
After you install LSH3 go to JSGME and enable the main mod and you can also enable the default 1920x1080 wide screen mod if that is your resolution.
You must always start the game through SH3Commander.
Do not use the shortcuts.
Load SH3Commander from your install path C:\ silent hunter 3 this does make a difference.
You can randomize a Captain or use your own.
Load the game.
The Option in the main menu will allow you to change the crew language from English to German as well as other changes.
You must go to the Naval Academy in the same menu.
This is essential as it uses this data and sets up your saved games folder V15.
If you select the Navigation Tutorial you can check if everything is in order.
Exit the game back to the desk top.
Go to JSGME and enable any additional mods that you want to use.
If you want to make changes to the hsie mod then this needs to be done with the mod disabled.
Go to the mods folder, select the hsie and use the application to open the mod.
When saved it will update the SH3.exe
Start the game through SH3Commander.
Make any changes in Commander that you want to use.
Available U-boats are in the drop down box.
Load the game.
At the main menu you should be able to select the New Career.
This should load to the Office.
Do not make any changes here as you are going to start a test mission in the Eprobungstelle flotilla.
Click on the map.
Depending on your systems performance this may take sometime 3 to 6 minutes may be for the game to load fully.
Hopefully the game will load ok and you will be in the testing base Stralsund.
All orders are received by radio, short cut key M.
When docking use the Esc key.
Exit Patrol.
Select dock at Stralsund
At the table click on the documents.
Any promotions must be taken here or lost.
Crew qualifications and medals can all be done in SH3Commander.
Click on the telephone.
Request a transfer to flotilla 2.
You should see an approved request in red.
Use the arrow to exit.
And then showing your new base is Wilhelmshaven OK.
Exit the game back to the desk top.
