In all seriousness, though, Bossmark, you don't seem to have any real idea just how thoroughly rotten, corrupt, incompetent, sclerotic, intellectually and morally bankrupt the Scottish branch of the Labour party had become. Machine politics at it's worst. Not the party it is in England and Wales.
Jim seems to have had pretty good connections within Labour, surely he could tell you just how bad SLab are/were?

Not surprising, the SNP governed as a minority between 2007 and 2011. There will probably be some form of "confidence and supply" arrangement with whoever they can get to support any legislation they want to get passed. Ironically, though it's rarely mentioned, the Nats relied on the Scots Cons back then. This time it might be the Greens.
