Ship Losses:
Fairport (United Kingdom) The cargo ship was torpedoed and sunk in the Atlantic Ocean 31 nautical miles (57 km) north by west of the Bishop Rock, Isles of Scilly (50°18′N 6°52′W) by
SM U-69 ( Kaiserliche Marine). Her crew survived.
Schwanden (Russia) The barque was scuttled in the Atlantic Ocean by
SM U-69 ( Kaiserliche Marine) at approximately the same position as Fairport ( United Kingdom).
Tusnastabb (Norway) The steamer hit a mine laid by
UC 7 (Georg Haag) and sunk off Cape Gris-Nez in position 50° 54'N, 1° 34'E whilst enroute from Newcastle to Boulogne with a cargo of coal. There were no casualties.
