First campaign

Starting position at Wilhelmshaven with IX U-boat, dismissed almost the entire crew and replaced them with 69 crewmembers, where 8 are torpede-lieutenants and 12 torpedo-officers. One command room lieutenant, and while the rest of the crew are hand picked matroses, I kept one medic and another with damage control special ability from the initial handouts.

Fourteen pairs with 3x same names and four unique named sailors.

Already 380 km northwest from base, on my way taking the long route around UK to reach a 96 hour patrol area outside Spain, avoiding the English Channel for security reasons. Focusing on holding the crew fit for action at all times, which means a lot of micro management going on ordering my crew in and out of bed. A tyrannic regime has entered service to bring strict discipline from earliest stage, at least until all sailors are fully upgraded to be ready for promotion, then it's time to just focus on the officers, keeping them on duty much more than off.

First contact established, can see smoke on the horizon straight ahead, full throttle pursuit to get the first sunken ship of the campaign.

Swedish 9000 tonnes cargo ship down, it took one torpedo and 18 shells from cannon to sink the vessel.
