Sorry, but I thought this
was the SH5 forum? And searching for a solution doesn't come up with anything useful (which I of course did before posting) but perhaps someone can point me in the right direction here? So far I have searched for people having similar issues using search terms like "nautical ruler problem", "protractor problem", "marker not centered", etc, etc...
