I have always enjoyed the lesser known, yet highly influential, artists who helped shape so much of modern music, particularly rock music. Wanda Jackson is one such artist. Over and over again, more well-known artists and superstars have cited Wanda as an influence. She has been around for over 50 years and still tours and records. Jack White of "White Stripes" fame has, in recent time, been a huge booster of Wanda Jackson and has produced and performed on Wanda's more recent recordings. She was often on the David Letterman talk show (Dave is a big fan) and showed that, even a half century on, she is still as fiery as ever...
