this happened to me on my first mission out of Pearl.
small convoy, two DD one troop ship.
one of the DD's is sailing on the starboard bow of the troop ship.
i am on that same side at about 1200 yds. pop the scope aim at the DD because it is between the troop ship and me...and pow! hit the DD right under the stacks. strangely, the troop ship explodes about 5 seconds later.
i never experienced that before. i mean i'll take it but the DD must have been really close. like really, really close.
