Version 6 released - this fixes the INI file problem (that is, if you are a brand-new user and the program has yet to create the file).

Also, the Set My Preferences -> Select the SH3 Careers directory button tries to actually display the correct location for the Careers directory rather than leaving you hunting around.

) the Select SH3 Messages file... doesn't - I need to query the registry to find out where SH3 is actually installed, and then try to guess the location of the data files. Reading the friendly "If you never read instructions" section of the web page will help (you, not me!).
