The police were never trained and equiped to run long tasks outside their precinct. But laws still apply and the army can't be sent anywhere without the parliament and president sending them out. At least the cops will be relieved now. They were working 12 hour shifts, eating sandwiches and sleeping in cars. At least the army can bring a kitchen and heated tents with them.
And someone has their priorities straight
