If you want to be safe you need to delete your windows partition. That way your fresh install will be on a fresh partition that your Windows 7 disk will create.

Then see my post in the "What you need to know about Windows 10" thread on all the spyware and nagware that Windows is migrating from Windows 10 to become part of Windows 7. There's a list of 10 updates that you'll need to hide before you let your new Windows 7 installation update. Much of the spyware sends twice daily encrypted reports to Microsoft for unknown reasons. We know it's analysis of your system and your use of it but not much more than that. So you really want to defang those 10 updates.
