So, that's the screen size set for "Game Resolution" under "Graphic Settings" in the game "Options" menu?

A 1920x1200 resolution is indeed an 8:5 aspect ratio. So, you've got the correct aspect ratio correction. However, I don't think I can duplicate what you're seeing due to not having a monitor that produces that specific resolution. I've got a 32 inch monitor that gives me a wide screen 1920x1080; and an older CRT monitor which provides the older 4:3 aspects.

You know, this just goes to show why the game didn't bother to look into these different wide screen resolutions and have the game engine ready for them. Back in 2003, when the main game engine was being developed (SH4 uses SHIII's game engine), wide screen LCD monitors were barely on an engineers drawing board. Monitors were bulky CRT's with fixed aspect ratio's, ranging from 13 inch to maybe an 20" (if you could pay the thousand dollars for one). SH4 truly was not developed for todays resolutions and aspect ratios.

I'm curious, what does the stock game binoculars look like when using the 1920x1200 resolution?
