A similar transfer question. I began my first career in the Philippines and was transferred to Surabaya and then to Fremantle as two bases were lost to the Japanese. Was there a random possibility of transfer to Darwin or Brisbane or is Fremantle the default? Is there a way to transfer to Darwin or Brisbane in the future and open new patrol areas?.

Freemantle is the default. When I was in my S-Class I got transferred to Brisbane pretty quickly. Maybe after two patrols? I forget but it was in time to be involved in the Guadacanal campaign.
