Lanterns are a tad too expensive for exploration purposes.
Pumpkins cant be grown in TFC, so they are a finite source and as such not very suitable for exploration.
That leaves just torches, which unless you explore the whole cave before the 48hrs has passed, will make your life very short on your way back to the surface.
If not disabled, I'd like to see them at least burn for longer.
